Mixed Veg Millet Bath

A quick, healthy & tasty Millet Bath

Ingredients needed

  •    Mixed Vegetable - 2.5 cups Chop small cube size
       (I choose Cauliflower, Carrot & Potato)
  •   Tomato - 1 (medium size)
  •   Onion - 1 (medium size)
  •   Little millet (Samai) - 0.5 cup
  •   Vangibath Powder - 1.5 Spoons
  •  Salt, Turmeric powder as needed

For the seasoning 

  •    Oil -2 tsp
  •    Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
  •    Brinji Leaves -2
  •    Green chilli - 1
  •    Curry leaves -few

Preparation

Cook Millet

  1. Wash & drain a little millet, add 2 cups of water in an earthern pot and simmer it for cooking

Mixed Veg Seasoning


  1. Heat oil in another earthen port, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add green chillies, curry leaves & brinji leaves
  2. Add onion and fry until it becomes tranlucent
  3. Add potato and keep sauting for 2 mins on medium flame
  4. Cauliflower and carrot, salt to taste and saute well, simmer it for few mins to half-cook
  5. Add chopped tomatto, turmeric powder, vangibath powder and saute well.
  6. Simmer for few mins with frequent stirring for the powder to mix well with the vegetable
  7. Turn the flame off

Final Step

  1. Once the millet is cooked, add it to the Mixed Veg seasoning carefully without smashing 
  2. Your yummy Mixed Veg Millet Bath is ready to server!
